I really don't want to know what that was

First of all I would like to let you all know that the apartment is really well located and is quite nice, but in order to have a nice stay, there are a lot of things that you must count. As I could read before we booked the apartment, we were not the first ones to find that the bed clothes were hanging on the bedroom's and bathroom's doors. I don't find this alarming, as maybe the last ones who rent the apartment had just left. What I do find really alarming was that the apartment was REALLY dirty. The fridge had an awful smell, with some food left that was from 2011 and even 2008. We wanted to put some food in the freezer but when we opened it there was some sort of animal (I really don't want to know what that was) in a plastic bag. All the drawers were full and we couldn't use it. We had to buy bleach in order to clean the whole fridge and kitchen and the bathroom. I, for sure, wasn't expecting to pass my first day in Paris cleaning someone else's house, and paying for doing it!!! When you rent an apartment, it is just logical to look forward cooking, well, DON'T. The hotplate wouldn't even make water boil!! We had to buy a camping-gas in Decathlon in order to cook. As well, the water heater is just on top of the hotplate and it leaked into it, so you have to be really careful or you will get dirty water in your food. All the drawers in the house, except for two, where full with not ironed clothes and all done in a ball, as if a 6 year old boy had just tried to make his room nice just to go out and play with his friends, but not bothering how the clothes where. The curtains seemed to not have been cleaned in years. Everything else was just fine but I think that keeping a clean kitchen and a clean bathroom is really important. It seemed as if Gaetan wouldn't even mind cleaning for the people who are paying for staying at his property.
